EURECA-PRO Conference 2025

Author Guidelines

The Scientific Committee of the 4th International Conference on Responsible Consumption and Production 2025, organized by EURECA-PRO, invites the submission of original research manuscripts in all areas of Responsible Consumption and Production. Scientists and students in all sectors, including academia, industry, government, and education are welcome to submit their manuscripts.

Manuscripts should be submitted and evaluated according to the following timeline (check also the Conference Key Dates):

  • Paper submission (Deadline: 31 March 2025)
  • Review of papers by the Scientific Committee and decision on acceptance/rejection notification (Deadline: 30 April 2025)
  • Submission of the revised paper for the Book of Abstracts and Conference Proceedings (Deadline: 30 May 2025)
  • Submission of full paper for review for Special Issue publication (Deadline: 15 October 2025)

General Guidelines

  • The submission platform opened on January 20, 2025. The link to the platform is available below.
  • First, you have to register to the Springer Meteor platform, then you can login to prepare your submission.
  • An author guide on how to submit your paper will be available in PDF upon successful login. 
  • Each paper must be submitted as a Word file, accompanied by a PDF file with the same content.
  • Use the comments section to indicate if your submission is to be considered for poster presentation only.
  • If not specified, all submissions will be considered for oral (primarily) or poster (secondarily) presentation.
  • The Scientific Committee and the Chairs will make the final decisions about oral or poster presentations.
  • You can save your work in progress on the platform for later submission. Once submitted, no changes are possible. 
  • All submissions must be formatted following the Springer paper template (please, download and use).
  • All submissions must be between a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of six (6), size A4, pages
  • The page limit includes the title, author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s), abstract, keywords, text body, figures, tables, graphs, and bibliography.
  • The organisers are not responsible for and will not copyedit paper submissions. 
  • Ensure that all special characters and formatting display correctly.
  • All papers submitted must be written in English.
  • Papers submitted to the Conference will have to conform with the minimum scientific submission standards to be evaluated.
  • All submissions must be the work of the authors, novel, well-described, fitting the listed Conference topics, and appropriately referenced.
  • Submissions must meet international ethical standards.

Content

Please be sure your paper contains the following, prior to submission:

  • A title stating clearly the study’s objective
  • Full names of all authors, including the ORCID unique identifiers (if exist)
  • Complete affiliations of all authors
  • An abstract (150-250 words) summarising the paper’s work
  • Up to three keywords describing the paper’s work
  • The body of the text, organised in sections, covering (indicatively) introduction, materials, methods, results, conclusions, and including figures, tables, and graphs, as pertinent.
  • Related bibliography

Formatting

Please follow these guidelines, when formatting your paper:

  • The paper title is limited to 200 characters, including spaces.
  • Capitalise only the first letter of main words in titles, e.g. “Sustainable Health Practices in Academia”, but do not capitalise all letters! 
  • Do not use a period in titles and do not place titles in quotes.
  • Capitalise initial letters of trade names.
  • Do not write given or family names in ALL CAPS.
  • There is no character limit for author names or affiliations.
  • Use standard abbreviations for units of measure; other abbreviations should be spelled out in full at first mention, followed by the abbreviation in parenthesis [e.g., Responsible Consumption and Production (RCP)].
  • Be sure to proofread your work carefully before submission. Please ensure your paper and submission details are correct.
  • Please, fully adhere to the provided Springer paper template; do not modify fonts, font sizes, spacing, margins, etc.

Deepen your scientific education

Each paper will be considered for an oral presentation in a session, unless originally specified by the author to be a poster presentation only.  All manuscripts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, which will make the final decisions for oral or poster presentations. All oral or poster presentations must be in English.

  • Poster presentations will take place during the hour-long poster sessions but should remain in place during the entire day for offline review.

Publication and Citation

Paper Publication

The accepted and presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, if the Author(s) select this option, under the Springer World Sustainability Book Series.

Full Paper Publication

Selected papers from those presented at the Conference will be invited for full article publication, following peer review, in the publication style of the journal of Circular Economy and Sustainability.
