TECHNICAL TOUR
DEDISA

)
Recycling is in our hands! DEDISA was founded in 1993 and was the first step of synergies and inter-municipal cooperation of the local authorities in waste management. Chania was one of the few exceptions, where the excellent cooperation of the local authorities and the central government resulted in an acceptable technical, economic and environmental solution with the construction of the Mechanical Recycli and Composting Plant.

TOURISTIC TOURS
Archeological Museum of Chania
(Wednesday | 09:00 – 11:30 | by bus)

Botanical Park and Garden of Crete
(Friday | 09:00 – 14:00 | by bus)
The Botanical Park and the Gardens of Crete are unique in their kind in Europe. The Gardens were literally born out of the ashes and are now a haven of tranquility offering to the visitors a journey through the world of nature. The olive trees orchard was burnt to ashes in 2023 – the only proud remnant of which stands the prominent burnt olive tree- but was reborn to a lash garden. Nowadays, The Gardens offer its visitors the unique opportunity to learn about fruit-bearing trees, herbs, spices, medicinal and decorative plants from all over the world, wander in the wonders of nature and witness the animals in their natural habitat.

BIOLEA

Astrikas Estate is the place where organic olive groves are located, in the small village of Astrikas, within the PDO (Protected Denomination of Origin) area of Kolymbari in North-Western Crete.
